Jewellery Care & Tarnish

Sterling Silver is made up of fine silver and several other components to make it durable for wear.

This means that Sterling Silver has the capacity to tarnish, there are a number of factors that can cause this.

Creams, sprays, perfumes may affect your jewellery.

A person’s Ph levels may also cause your jewellery to tarnish, if you have had a piece of Sterling Silver jewellery that has caused your skin to discolour, or the metal has discoloured this will probably happen again.

Larger chain jewellery suppliers often Rhodium plate their jewellery, this isn’t something that I am able to do as yet.

I provide a small polishing cloth with every piece of jewellery I sell, please care for your jewellery appropriately.

I do not consider tarnishing to be a fault with materials, though I do offer free aftercare for 12 months.
